According to the WordPress app on my iPad, it’s been about 260 days since my last post. I have no excuses, other than…. Well, I just don’t have one. What I can say is that it’s that time of the year. For the next 5 days or so, I’ll be blogging about the ITC e-Learning Conference. I’m presenting a pre-conference workshop shortly title, “iPad Essentials.” I’ll be going over must-have apps for using iPads to maximie productivity. Beyond the information consumption apps, there are hundreds of apps that allow you to create content for your classroom, students, etc. From producivity apps to fostering group work and communication, we’ll be exploring over 20 apps during the 2.5 hour workshop. The participants have been encouraged to bring apps of their own to share, so I hope to increase my arsenal as well.If you want to follow my Twitter posts throughout the conference, follow me at @evinsmj or search the Conference hashtag, #elearning2016.I spent about 30 minutes packing for the trip last night. I had a really hard time deciding what to pack, mostly because it was ~20 degrees (F) in Ohio and 80 degrees in Arizona at the time I was packing. I usually don’t pack as much as I did for a normal 5 day trip, but in past experience, ITC is not the normal Conference. I’ve never been to Phoenix before, aside from a layover in the ariport. Hoping I get a chance to see some of the actual city. What’s a native food in Arizona? Cincinnati has Skyline chili, Chicago has deep-dish pizza (mmm Giordano’s) and hot dogs. But what is Phoenix known for? I guess we’ll find out!
